Frequently Asked Questions

What types of businesses do you support?

We work with a wide range of industrial and engineering businesses across the North East and Cumbria, including automotive garages, MOT centres, plant hire depots, haulage workshops, fabrication shops, and general engineering firms. If you use or clean mechanical parts, we can support you.

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

No. We offer contract‑free machine hire, giving you complete flexibility. You’re never tied into long commitments or stuck with equipment you no longer need.

How does parts washer hire work?

We supply the machine, install it in your workshop, and handle all ongoing servicing. This includes solvent replenishment, waste collection, and routine maintenance.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Our pricing is transparent and our team will let you know exactly how much the hire and servicing of a machine costs.

If our prices do change, a member of our team will be in touch to let you know ahead of your next service. If the new price no longer works for you, you can cancel with zero penalty.

What’s included in the solvent servicing?

Our solvent service covers:

  • All required documentation for environmental compliance
  • Delivery of fresh solvent
  • Removal of used solvent
  • Safe, compliant waste disposal
  • Machine checks and maintenance
How often do you collect waste or replace solvent?

When you hire a machine, we work with you to understand how frequently you’ll require a service – whether that’s every four weeks to every six months.

If your need changes, simply let us know and we can adjust your service plan at no penalty.

What types of parts washers do you supply?

We provide solvent-based parts washers that are ideal for the cleaning of:

  • HGV and fleet maintenance parts
  • Engine components
  • Gearboxes
  • Brake assemblies
  • Hydraulic parts
  • Plant machinery components
Do you handle all waste disposal legally and safely?

Yes. We’re an Environmental Agency registered Waste Carrier, Broker and Dealer (CBDU47044). We manage the full waste process, including collection, transport, and disposal, in line with UK environmental regulations. You’ll receive all necessary paperwork for audits and compliance.

Can I upgrade or change my service frequency later?

Yes. Because there are no contracts, you can switch to a service plan at any time. As your workshop grows or your needs change, we adapt with you.

What areas do you cover?

We serve businesses across the North East of England and Cumbria, including Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Teesside, Carlisle, and surrounding areas.

What happens if the machine breaks down?

Contact us on 07456 947891 or northeastdegreasers@yahoo.co.uk and let us know the fault. We’ll send a service engineer as soon as possible.

How quickly can you respond if there’s an issue?

We aim to resolve any issues as soon as possible. The exact response time will depend on the location and availability of our service engineers, however our team will keep you informed about when you can expect a visit.

How do I get a quote?

Simply complete the form on our website to arrange a callback. A member of our team will get in touch to find out about your needs. We’ll provide a clear, competitive quote with no contract and no hidden extras.
